Eastbourne, has been quietly reinventing itself over the past few years. A postcard-pretty town braced against the dramatic English coast, it’s home to arty cinemas and theatre spaces, cool bars and trendy shopping quarters, away from the bustle of neighbouring Brighton.

Arts & culture

Eastbourne has redefined itself as a cultural hub and place to be creative. The modernist Towner Gallery, who hosts The Turner Prize 2023 (28th September 2023 - 14th April 2024), is spearheading this cultural revolution. The gallery a vibrant multi-coloured beacon for progress, always bustling with exhibitions, film screenings and creative workshops. Visit some of the local galleries and enjoy the pop-up exhibitions at Port, showcasing some of our favourite artists.
